For Parents

Learning Support for your child, at home or at school

We place trained, vetted Learning Support Assistants with families across the UAE. Each LSA is selected and prepared for your child specifically, then supported by our team throughout the engagement.

When families come to us

A school has flagged that your child needs additional support and suggested hiring an LSA independently. A diagnosis (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, a physical or medical condition) has arrived and mainstream schooling is not adapting fast enough.

Your child is falling behind and you're not sure why, but one-to-one attention seems to help. Your child is twice-exceptional and under-challenged in the standard classroom. You're home-schooling and want structured, professional support a few days a week.

Not every child needs an LSA. Part of our job on the first call is to tell you honestly whether we're the right solution, or whether you need an educational psychologist, speech therapist, or different intervention first. We have referrals for those cases.

What they do

What a Learning Support Assistant does day-to-day

An LSA works one-to-one with your child during their school day, or at home during structured learning time. Depending on your child's needs, they might:

  • Help your child stay focused and engaged during lessons.
  • Break down tasks into manageable steps.
  • Provide emotional regulation support during transitions and overwhelm.
  • Track progress using structured tools like IEP trackers and observation records.
  • Communicate daily with you and your child's teacher so everyone stays aligned.
  • Adapt their approach as your child grows and their needs change.

What an LSA is not

A babysitter, a homework helper, or a substitute teacher. An LSA is a trained professional whose only job is your child's learning and wellbeing.

From first conversation to placement

Consultation.

A free, no-obligation call. We ask about your child's needs, school environment, diagnosis if any, and what you're hoping for. We ask about their interests, routines, and what has and hasn't worked. If we don't think an LSA is the right solution, we say so.

Matching.

We select an LSA from our team whose background and temperament fit your child. Matching is not random. Harmeet reviews every placement personally.

Skills Enhancement for your LSA.

Before they start, your LSA is trained in the specific areas your child needs. Strategies for autism, ADHD, dyslexia, behaviour support, curriculum modification — whatever applies. This is what "tailored to your child" actually means in practice.

Placement and weekly monitoring.

Your LSA starts. Our team checks in with you, the school, and the LSA every week. We use structured progress tools so you see what's actually changing. If something's not working, we adjust. If the match isn't right, we replace.

Why Incluzun

Not an agency. A specialist practice.

Incluzun was founded and is led by two specialists with a combined 50 years in inclusive education. Harmeet and Catherine personally vet, train, and monitor every LSA we place.

We don't run a database of available workers. We maintain a curated team — each member known to us, trained by us, and supported by us throughout every engagement.

Curricula we work across

British, American, IB, French, Indian, and UAE National curriculum schools.

KHDA and ADEK alignment

Our LSA standards meet current KHDA and ADEK inclusion policy requirements. We handle the approval paperwork for external support personnel so you don't have to navigate it alone.

Existing relationships

We already work with over 60 UAE schools. There's a good chance your child's school is one of them, which makes onboarding simpler.

Questions we hear often

What is the difference between an LSA, a shadow teacher, and a special educator?
LSA and shadow teacher are used interchangeably in the UAE. A special educator is typically a qualified teacher specialising in special education, which is a broader and more specialised role. We place LSAs. Where families need a special educator, we refer to trusted partners.
How much does an LSA cost and what does that include?
Pricing depends on hours, setting, and your child's needs. See the "What's included" section above. We confirm a specific quote after the free consultation.
How long before an LSA can start?
Typically two to three weeks from first call to placement.
Will my child's school accept an external LSA? What about KHDA or ADEK rules?
Most UAE schools accept external LSAs. We handle the approval paperwork and ensure compliance with KHDA and ADEK inclusion policy.
What qualifications do your LSAs have?
All our LSAs hold relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or related fields, and complete our Skills Enhancement training before placement. Background checks and safeguarding training are mandatory.
Who pays the LSA — us or you?
You pay Incluzun directly. We handle the employment relationship with your LSA, including compliance with UAE labour requirements. This protects both your family and your LSA.
What happens if the LSA isn't the right fit?
We replace within the first 30 days at no additional cost. Weekly monitoring catches fit issues early.
Do you work with children with medical needs that require personal care?
Our LSAs provide learning and behavioural support. For children with complex medical needs requiring clinical personal care, we assess on a case-by-case basis and will be transparent about whether we can safely meet your child's needs.
Can the LSA attend therapy appointments or tutoring sessions?
Yes. LSAs can accompany children to therapy or tutoring sessions to observe, take notes, and reinforce strategies in the classroom and at home. This is often one of the most valuable aspects of the role.
How do you coordinate with teachers?
Your LSA maintains a daily log and weekly communication with your child's class teacher. Our team joins school meetings when useful.
What's the notice period to end the engagement?
Thirty days written notice from either side after the initial engagement period. We keep it simple and family-friendly.
Can we keep the same LSA across academic years?
Yes, where possible. Continuity matters for children with individual needs, and we plan for it.
Do you work in Arabic or French?
We have LSAs who speak Arabic and French in addition to English. Let us know your language requirements during the consultation and we will match accordingly.
What's your safeguarding policy?
All LSAs are background-checked, safeguarding-trained, and bound by our safeguarding policy. A copy is available on request — email [email protected].
Do you work with adults (18+) with learning needs?
Our primary focus is children aged 3–18 in school or home-education settings. For adult learners, please contact us directly to discuss your situation.
