Get started

Training to become a Learning Support Assistant

Who becomes an LSA?

  • Teachers who want to specialise in inclusion and one-to-one work.
  • Career-changers moving into education from psychology, therapy, social work, or childcare.
  • Graduates with a degree in education, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Parents who have supported their own child with learning needs and want to turn that experience into a career.

Honest expectations

  • Compensation is competitive with UAE market rates for trained LSA professionals. Specific rates are discussed during the application process.
  • Most placements are full school days during term time.
  • It's demanding work. Children are unpredictable, parents are worried, schools are pressured. You need resilience as much as skill.

UAE school placement

Ms. Catherine is one of the main reasons why our job feels like less of a job. Her passion and dedication make a real difference to our students. She introduced the intervention programmes we use to help our students overcome barriers to learning — including Toe by Toe, Primary Movements, and One Step at a Time.

Common questions

Do I need a specific qualification to start?
You need a relevant background — a degree in education, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Our Skills Enhancement programme builds on that foundation.
What's the difference between Incluzun and applying to a school directly?
Schools hire LSAs for a specific role. Incluzun matches you to the children who suit you best, and supports you throughout. You work for us; we invest in your development.
Do you support visa sponsorship?
Visa sponsorship availability depends on your situation and the engagement type. Please raise this during your application conversation and we will give you an honest answer.
How is pay structured?
Pay is discussed during the application process. Rates are competitive with UAE market standards for trained LSA professionals and reflect your experience and hours.
Can I work part-time?
Part-time placements are available depending on the needs of the families and schools we serve. Let us know your availability and we will match accordingly.
What happens in school holidays?
Most placements follow the school calendar. Some families request support during holidays. We discuss arrangements for holiday periods on a case-by-case basis during onboarding.
Can I progress into other roles?
Many of our experienced LSAs have moved into senior support roles, SENCO responsibilities, or educational consulting. We actively support career progression.
