About this course
This module is part of the Teaching & Learning Skils Development course. Each module comprises a short introduction to key skills. Teachers are challenged to implement these skils over the duration of a month and reflect on their progress toward outstanding provision.
Requirements
30 Day Challenge
To implement your new learning and support your journey toward becoming a master teacher the following skills, which demonstrate this module’s outcomes, should be practiced over the next 30 days
Where possible, find a colleague who you know is highly skilled in this area.
Shadow them and learn from them. Ask them to support you by observing you put these new skills into action.
In every lesson establish clear learning objectives with well defined success criteria
In the majority of lessons, jointly establish learning goals with your students
All work samples should be marked within a week of completion
For every piece of work, ask the 4 guiding questions
Implement the 3 c’s on the majority of work samples
Implement a key for feedback symbols
Focus all feedback on skills and processes
Eliminate Phrases to Avoid completely from your feedback!
On the majority of work ask students to Self-Feedback
On most work, add an additional challenge for students to complete to deepen knowledge
